Tom Collier “Like A Rolling Stone” from Boomer Vibes Volume 2 (Summit Records) : Playing it all instruments –  the Vanderplas electric vibraphone, acoustic vibraphone, marimba, piano, Wurlitzer electric piano, Rhodes electric piano, organ, synthesizer, synth bass, and drums,  , Volume 2, the second of a three-volume set featuring songs built on iconic recordings of the 1960s and early 1970s.

DigDogDo “Night Watch” from Evolution (Hoob Records) : a newly formed organ trio from Gothenburg consisting of Simon Jonsson on organ, Ossian Ward on drums, and Tobias Grim on guitar. All three are well-established musicians and familiar faces on jazz scenes  throughout Sweden.

Ambrose Akinmusire “Owl Song 2 (feat. Bill Frisell & Herlin Riley)” from Owl Song (Nonesuch Records) : Composer and trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire makes his Nonesuch Records debut with Owl Song. The album features a trio with two musicians Akinmusire has long admired, guitarist Bill Frisell and drummer Herlin Riley. Released December 2023

Alice Coltrane “Africa” from The Carnegie Hall Concert (Impulse!) : Alice Coltrane performed at Carnegie Hall for a special gala benefiting the Integral Yoga Institute. Backed by an all-star group of musicians, Coltrane delivered a captivating set    Her band that night added two members of Satchidananda’s circle — Kumar Kramer and Tulsi Reynolds, playing harmonium and tamboura, respectively — to a large jazz ensemble comprising two saxophonists (Pharoah Sanders and Archie Shepp), two bassists (Jimmy Garrison and Cecil McBee) and two drummers (Ed Blackwell and Clifford Jarvis).
