Jason Yeager

Due out via Sunnyside Records on the author’s 100th birthday, November 11, 2022, Unstuck in Time: he Kurt Vonnegut Suite features pianist Jason Yeager’s gifted septet along with guest soloist Miguel Zenón

In writing the pieces for Unstuck in Time, Yeager crafted music that suggested that eccentricity and
uniqueness. He assembled a stellar band able to bring his singular palette to life: multi-reedists Lucas Pino and Patrick Laslie, trumpeters Alphonso Horne and Riley Mulherkar, trombonist Mike Fahie, vibraphonist Yuhan Su, bassist Danny Weller, and drummer Jay Sawyer. In addition, the ensemble is joined on two tracks by alto saxophonist Miguel Zenón.

Avi Granite

Canadian composer and guitarist Avi Granite celebrates his musical roots by spotlighting some of
Canada’s finest musicians in solo performance.

Pat LaBarbera – Tenor Saxophone – Lika A Magazine
Jim Lewis – Trumpet – Rigar Breaks a Cage
Ted Quinlan – Electric Guitar – Like John

So Long Seven

As featured on a previous show

Dave Graney and Clare Moore

A rare sidestep into the world of rock with the new album from Dave and Clare – In A MistLY – however there are sufficient jazz elements in this release to warrant inclusion. My review of the album is HERE

Rocío Giménez López Trío

Rocío Giménez López – piano and synthesizer
Fermín Suarez – contrabass
Francisco Martí – drums

released August 22, 2022
