Chilean trumpeter Benjamín Vergara and Philadelphia percussionist Ben Bennett creating a new sound scape incorporating textures, melodies and silence.   • Chilean trumpeter Benjamín Vergara and Philadelphia percussionist Ben Bennett met in 2018 during Vergara´s artistic residence at Continuum Culture in Brooklyn, NY leading to a strong musical partnership. This collaboration developed further when Ben Bennett visited Valdivia, Chile for the Relincha Festival in 2019. During this period the duo hit the recording studio and the Birds of Our Abyss album was created.

  • From Buenos Aires, Camila Nebbia, a highly regarded saxophonist, improviser and composer, she is an already rising star on the local level and making moves on the global stage. She appears on several releases as side-woman and “Aura” is her third as leader and features a large ensemble setting including the most important improvisers in the city.
  • Manuel Valera New Cuban Express Big Band “Yo Quiero Salir Del Mundo / Yo Pienso Cuando Me Alegro” from Jose Marti En Nueva York (Greenleaf)
  • Grammy-nominated pianist and composer Manuel Valera presents the dynamic debut of his New Cuban Express Big Band. Inspired by José Martí, the famed Cuban writer and independence hero, José Martí en Nueva York features Valera’s song cycle of original music based on nine poems from Martí’s seminal 1891 collection, “Versos Sencillos.” Pre-release track – August 28th full release.

  • New York City-based trombonist Mike Fahie (Darcy James Argue, John McNeil, Pedro Giraudo) releases the debut album from his large ensemble, the Mike Fahie Jazz Orchestra. Urban(e) presents a marriage of both the jazz and classical idioms. Fahie’s stunning arrangements of works by seven composers celebrate the cross-pollination of these two musics, fusing them into one cohesive sound. Pre-release track full album out on 28th August.
